1987 Buick Regal Turbo T WE4 Video Tour

If you’ve ever wanted to see an actual Buick Turbo T WE4 up close in person (well, sort of), here’s a video tour of one!

.

.

Phillip (this car’s owner) supplied us with the backstory about his WE4 featured in the video above:

This is my car. Still have it in the garage. This car was bought new 20 miles from where I live. It was purchased new by a lady. She kept it less than 2 years and traded it in at Armstrong Ford in town for a mustang. One of my high school friend’s brother bought it from the Ford dealer she had traded with. My friends brother drove it easy and never abused it. I remember people saying he drove it like a grandma. I would see it a lot the first few years he had it, then just every now and then. His girlfriend lived up the road from me and I would see it there. Not long after he bought it he put the black ARE wheels on it. ( he kept the original which I still have). Every time I saw him from 1989 on I would ask him if he wanted to sell it. He would always say “no, never”. Months would go by and I would ask again. Then years would go by and every year or so I would bump into him and ask if he still had it. He would say yes and it is not for sale. This went on from 1989 til 2018. In 2018 I saw his brother and asked if his brother still had his regal. He said no he sold it. I was thinking all those years of asking and I missed it. I asked his brother who bought it. He said “I did”. So my next words were, do you want to sell it. He said “no”. He told me his brother took it to street side 5 years ago to sell it, but he went back and got it because he was frustrated with people telling their opinions on price and what they thought about the car. ( The car is all stock no modifications except wheels and I have the originals). His brother told him to get his trailer he was going to go get it. He was just ready to sell it for scrap. On the ride home his brother said he would buy it, and he did. His brother had the car for 5 years and never drove or even looked at it. ( It was still in the enclosed trailer from 5 years ago, never moved. It had been hibernating) It still had the street side tag and price sheet laying in the seat from when they brought it home.
I asked if I could at least see the car. He said come on over, but it is not for sale. So I went over and open the trailer door. There it was. It had not seen the sun for 5 years. I looked it over and it was just as I remembered. We talked about a hour about the car and the good old days. I asked again if he would sell it. This time he said “well I guess I would. It is already loaded up in a trailer and I could bring it to your house”. We agreed on a price and he hooked up his truck and brought it to my house. That was 2 years ago, and I still have it. It is now hibernating in my garage. It took almost 29 years to buy it, but I finally got it.
