Perhaps your existing turbo regal door sills are rusty or broke.
Or maybe, you’re like the owner of this specific Buick Grand National and just want to replace them because you like the black carbon fiber wrapped ones that some of the Buick vendors are offering at present time.
(even though there’s technically nothing wrong with the stock factory chrome ones that are on this G-body right now)
This removal technique will work too if you just want to remove your sills to polish them up a bit, and then put them back in place.
How to do:
1. The turbo regal door sills are held in place via 4 phillips screws.
Remove them all & then just pull the sills up & out of the car.
2. Now would be a good time to remove any debris or clean that area out if it needs it.
3. Set the new door sills in place & screw them in.
[ To make it all match & look pretty, we also replaced the chrome screws with a set of black ones (from autozone, $3) ]
4. This replacement set of buick regal door sills came with the “Body by Fisher” nameplates (a used, but ok set of 2, 1 for each sill), but we opted not to put them on.
If you desire to have them attached, you will have to glue or use two sided tape to secure them to the door sills.
5. That’s it!
This is one of the more simpler projects you can do in about 15 minutes.
And they look good too!
