With so many car cruises & car shows here in Michigan, it’s hard to keep track if an event is actually worth attending or not (for us, it’s nothing against the specific venues mentioned, you might like them), especially if it’s been awhile since we’ve been to a specific spot.
So this is (mainly for our own benefit) but you can use our system to possibly judge an event as well. Your mileage may vary.

Detroit Grand Prix Cruise Night
Due to high demand and to ensure a fresh display, vehicles that were not part of the 2025 event will be prioritized. On Friday night, fans are welcome to come cruisin’ with the Detroit Grand Prix! Honoring Detroit’s rich automotive heritage while celebrating the car culture in the Motor City, the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear and the Detroit Auto Show are teaming up to bring a turbocharged car show to Downtown Detroit. The Detroit Grand Prix Cruise Night presented by the Detroit Auto Show will begin at approximately 6:30 pm on Friday night. More than 100 classic cars, customized rides, hot rods, muscle cars, exotic vehicles and more will be displayed on the actual race circuit as the free, family-focused event will bring a cruisin’ close to the opening day of action at the Grand Prix.

From I-75 in Flint, go east on I69 to Exit 136. At the top of the exit ramp, turn left (North) on Grand Traverse Street (very first traffic light). Go .9 mile (cross the Flint River) and Water Street will be 2nd Street on your right (east).
Gates open at 8:00 am for show cars. With few exceptions, parking on Water Street is first-come, first-served. There is no admission fee, no pre-registration required, and no judging. Bring your own chairs for lounging.
