Common to a Buick car dealership license plate, from the old versions to current era types, was that these license tags not only contain the car dealers name, but city location, 1 or more various Buick logos or nameplates, and perhaps the slogan or tag line of the dealership.
Eye catching designs and styles were implemented, all to attract potential new auto buyers to visit said Buick vehicle dealerships.
Pretty looking plates presented another opportunity for dealers to survive in the grueling car buyers market.
It helps that many new automobile dealerships nowadays represent multiple car lines, mostly all GM products, but there are the occasional multi-brand dealers who sell not only General Motors vehicles, but others too like Honda, VW, Mazda, etc.
By doing this cross marketing method, dealers are spreading their options open on the chance that potential purchasers will select one car brand if they don’t like the others that are on display in the showrooms. Whatever it takes to make a sale!
