In 2027 the Buick GNX will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary, having been produced back in 1987.
We recently saw these pretty cool gold / silver colored collector coins that are being created based on this special event.
There’s 4 different coin versions, with slightly different words and images on each of them, and 2 of them have colored features (red, white, blue) incorporated into them.
They look pretty awesome!

This ebay seller has a bunch of other commemorative and challenge type coins that they currently offer (other cars, military, etc.).
(leading us to believe this isn’t some sort of scam offer)
Their feedback looks mostly good (150+ past sales), but they are located in Sri Lanka (so delivery might take a bit to the U.S.).
The cost seems reasonable for this type of item, but you do have to factor in the extras (since they’re based outside the USA).
Listed at US $23.79 (for 1 coin), but then it’s subject to import fees (42%, about $10), and then there may be a $5-$20 Customs processing fee added on top of that (the specific details weren’t really clear about that policy, and we didn’t try to order to actually see the amounts, if they were specified).
So in total, you’ll pay somewhere around $50, which isn’t too bad if you’re into things like this.
(there’s only been a few other Buick coins ever produced in the past)
They don’t state this is a limited edition, or any actual production numbers, so who knows how many will be available (but if they sell well, we’re sure they will probably make a lot of them).
