Whenever we have the opportunity to hit up a new car show we’ve never been to, we take advantage. Such was the case for this Sunday, June 30, 2024, event.
A new venue is always nice to explore, along with the chance to possibly see some hot rods unknown to us prior.
The Livonia Spree 74 Classic Car Show, (at the corner of Lyndon & Farmington Rd.,
in Livonia), at “Ford Field” as it’s called, (note, an actual “field,” unlike the Stadium version downtown), had numerous muscle and classic vehicles sprawled out across the acreage.
Some G-bodies in attendance, along with other interesting 4-wheeled wonders.
We didn’t realize there was also a fair going on in conjunction with this event, and parked totally on the wrong side. Which meant we walked what seemed like forever to get to the actual car field. Ugg.
Amidst the carnival attractions was a Michigan Lottery stand. Buy $10 worth of tickets and get a free spin of the wheel for a prize. Score! Won a t-shirt (promoting the lottery, of course)! Bought $5 in lotto plus $5 of scratchers. Netted $20 on the instant tickets! Cool! Now if we could just hit that Powerball, we’d be all set for the day (and week, and year for that matter, lol)!
