Even though we will back in this very same place this weekend (for the annual Cruisin the Clem event), we decided to pop in today at Louie’s Towne Grill in downtown Mount Clemes, MI, for their weekly Wednesday car meet.
It’s been almost a year since we’ve been here, and like a lot of these smaller get togethers, the days we show up are generally not on the days that a lot of cars make an appearance! (but of course the times that we don’t come, are when there’s a record amount of vehicles that turn up, lol)
The May 29, 2024, car show was a bit light in turnout, even though the weather was decent (warm, mostly sunny skies). A couple dozen vehicles showed up.
(including just 1 Buick Grand National, which did made us smile)
During the summer months, there’s so many different activities going on, and everyone is always busy doing one thing or the other.
That’s where we find ourselves nowadays.
During the course of running errands and whatnot, there’s usually a car gathering happening at once place or another.
Sometimes we’ll take what we can get though, and simply spectate at a lot of these car shows.
Granted, not as good as actually participating and showing off the Buick GN, but as they say, beggers can’t be choosers, so we’ll settle for just seeing who brought what to the particular event. It’s usually better than not going at all.
That’s almost as good (well, not really, but you know…).
