Sanders (Hall Rd., Clinton Township) has a car show gathering in their parking lot on the third Thursday of every month (May-Sept).
This years car shows, celebrate Sanders 150th Anniversary!
Sprawled out throughout the parking area are generally 125-150+ show cars of all styles.
Today’s event was packed when we arrived at 6:30!
Not only was the main lot filled, but both the sides of the building, most of the grassy area, and also the lot across the street had some cars in it as well!
Easily over 200 hot rods were here.
Always a fun auto show to attend (even though lots of the same cars come every month), there are some new vehicles that usually participate at this free event too.
And then, of course, there’s the free candy samples they pass out!
Ice cream and other “sweet treats” are also available in the shoppe!
We spotted 3 Monte Carlo SS’s sitting by each other, a white one, and not one, but 2 of the (burgundy, cherry, dark red, whatever you like to call this cool color) parked together (how often does that happen?). The 1 owner said he’s had the car for 40 years!
Then there was a Buick Grand National that normally makes an appearance here, along with our own Buick GN.
Some sweet GM A-body cars, a Syclone, and a new Cadillac station wagon looking thing (apparently that’s a big deal?).

Note, that this WAS suppose to be the last auto gathering for the year, but we see they have another one scheduled for next Thursday (9-25-25) as well!
(and we heard talks that they might change this over from once a month to once a week now)

This Saturday has a lot of different automotive events happening.
Choose wisely. We’ll be at the Almont car show.
Even though assorted auto gatherings are happening all through October, there’s really only a month left to enjoy your classics & muscle cars, so get ’em out there while you still can! (don’t put them away just yet!)
