For those Buick diecast car collectors keeping track of the real “Super Rare” diecast cars, last month (May 15, 2025), probably one of the rarest of the rare was sold on ebay.
This is the truly limited edition “Johnny Lightning Promo Edition” cars that were given exclusively to Johnny Lightning employees at Christmas one year.
Just 25 of these cars were produced!
A dark green Buick Grand National, in 1:64 scale, on a mint card.
The hammer price?
$205.37 (+ $4.44 shipping)

Not too bad for a starting price of just 99 cents!
We seen a few of these specific vehicles sold over the years (1 for around $500 about 5 years ago, and another for about $700 more than a decade ago).
Prices for this one seem to be going down over the years.

That car sold for $205 but was not paid for, then relisted, which I WON at the price of $144 shipped!
I now have 6 of those green GN 1 of 25’s, and also both and only of the (rare) 2 of 2 made bare raw JL gn’s.
