Brass was the metal of choice for creating key rings back in the day.
Sturdy, imprintable, embossed or etchable, shiny and nice looking.
Plastic versions were also popular since they were inexpensive to make, but could have cool designs printed onto them, as well as being made in various colors.
The plastic type also weighed much less, creating less stress hanging from the ignition cylinder.
There’s no one right choice when selecting the styles you like, either type is sure to do the job intended on.
Below we show you some of these vintage key chains and fobs.
