We’ve seen a lot (if not all) of the different diecast (& plastic, etc.) cars that were produced over the years for the Buick Regal.
This is one we haven’t seen.
It’s listed on ebay right now (actually by 2 different sellers).
(they’re both about $25 shipped)
(neither seller has the packaging, they’re loose cars, making it hard to ID)
The car is a 1981 Buick Regal NASCAR vehicle, for Richard Petty, his #43 STP car.
1:64 scale in size, and it is finished in a 24kt gold plated design.
Goodyear #1 Eagle tires.
Made by Racing Champions.
One of the sellers has in the title “NASCAR LEGEND” – but, he could be referencing Richard Petty as a “NASCAR LEGEND” – and not necessarily the car or the series it’s from.
It (sort of) looks like the 50th Anniversary NASCAR Buicks that were made, (the rims are similar on car #81 & they did make gold cars – but not solid colored versions).
The other solid gold versions that RC made a few years later (RC Mint 24K GOLD serious) has a similar car but NOT a NASCAR (and no roll bar, different wheels, etc).
So we don’t have complete details about this one.
[ if YOU do, send us a message! ]
At any rate, here’s what it looks like.
