Bakers Bash July 2024

Sunday, July 21, 2014, at Bakers Restaurant in Milford, MI, Gearhead Homes and Motor City Solutions Hot Rods & Restorations sponsored the Bakers Bash, a huge car show that drew in 1000+ cars, according to the announcer! This set a record at the venue!

Of course, that figure represents hot rods coming and going throughout the day, as when we arrived (about 3:15 pm), we guesstimated there were 750-800 displayed automobiles in the main lot and spread out across the lawn, plus in the secondary lots.

Quite a few vendors, tons of cars, 80 degree weather (warm but not scorching since it was a mostly overcast sky), it’s just what you would expect, a great time being had by everyone.

We try to venture this way at least once a year, as the turnouts are generally pretty large (however, this specific event from last year was mostly rained out), so we were glad todays forecast was favorable.

Whatever types of muscle or vintage cars you’re into, you’ll be satisfied with the participation at this event.

We saw several GM G & A bodied vehicles (including 2 other Buick GN’s besides ours), which is our happy place.
Parked next to us was a neat 1988 Buick LeSabre T Type – when’s the last time you saw one of those? We spoke with the owner briefly and gave and received some Buick automotive knowledge.

And of course, there were several other things here that made us smile.
We had plenty of conversations with the crowd (mostly other Buick fanatics), so that’s always a plus sharing related car stories and info.

.

There’s several auto events happening this coming Saturday, including Mainstreet Memories in Port Huron, and the Telegraph Cruise, both of which we are attending. Hopefully we’ll see your rides out there (and then you will see them in HERE)!
