Back in the 1970s, before poker games had become so mainstream, it was thought to be different & cool to have used poker chips as keychains, since poker use to be an underground type of thing.
So there were a lot of different companies who had their assorted names & advertisements printed on them, then holes drilled in them for chains, and in turn, made into custom poker chip keychains.
Buick Motor Division (as well as some of the Buick auto dealerships) were included in this crowd.
