It’s that time of the year again for the Gratiot Avenue Cruise held in Clinton Township.
This annual event usually draws out many many hundreds of vehicles to peruse down the road while gawking at others doing the exact same thing. Good times.
The 2023 car season here in Michigan has been something else, it’s mostly been a choice of blistering heat, or rain. Not much in the middle. Uggg.
The latter was the case for the Sunday, August 6th event.
It didn’t stop some diehard auto enthusiasts however, and considering this car cruise is relatively near home, it wasn’t that much effort for us to attend (sans Turbo Regal).
We all made the best of it, and chatted up our Buick buddies to pass the time.
The official car cruise main headquarters is at the South East corner of 16 Mile Road.
But as the local Turbo Regal guys know, our normal hangout spot is just South of 16 at the Autozone.
Put on (for numerous years now) by Aggressive Auto (586-771-9122), who throws this gala for his customers and friends.
[we feel grateful they continue to do this so us Turbo Buick guys have a place to gather around and catch up with friends, both old and new, while checking out all the awesome Gbody Regals (& other G-bodied rides) in attendance – THANKS Bruce & crew…]
Despite the rain that came down in spurts throughout the course of the day, 3 Buick Grand Nationals and a Turbo T made their appearance here.
