Custom wheels, decals, graphics, and paint jobs, are all part of what consists the entire makeup on these 1:64 scale diecast cars.
Crafted from Buick Grand National and Buick Regal vehicles, which usually started off as Hot Wheels cars before their transformaton.
Some of them look pretty neat, others make us wonder why.
Surely there must be a market for them, otherwise why would they consistantly be made? Someone must be buying these.
Or the sellers are hoping specialty collectors will take note, and spark a chord with a certain type of person seeking this stuff out.
We like custom made stuff for the most part, but on these Buick toy cars, it seems like an awful lot of work on the sellers part to make them for the roughly $20 or less prices that they sell for (they might clear about $5/car, and how many can they possibly be creating?).
Maybe it’s for the shear joy of just assembling them that the producers get out of it.
Whatever the case may be, they’re fun to look at.
Here’s some below we’ve seen offered for sale on ebay recently.
