Melvindale Days Car Show 6-7-25

.

(our 3rd event of 4 for today)

The Melvindale Days Car Show was (sort of) on our way back home, so we figured why not, it was 15 minutes away from the Taylor Sportsplex car show we were just at.

The problem being, it’s 3:30 now, the event is a 15 minutes drive away, and the show says it ends at 4PM.
Will there be any show cars still left there?
Do we chance arriving near the very end of the show?
Well, of course we do!

Siri guides us on our way…
Only to be led to a street that’s blocked off, and has cops on the other side of the barriers (so no going around them 🙁 ).
ok, we traverse back the 3/4 mile detour to jump back on the freeway, go 2 miles down and around, and get to the show at 5 minutes til 4.

Looked like the judges (?) were doing a walk thru as we were parking.
So cool, cars still here, looks like no one has departed yet.
1 single row of cars down a street with about 30-40 vehicles all lined up.
Makes viewing them all easy when it’s done like this!

As this car show was put on by the Dedication Detroit car club (a lowrider car club), we knew exactly what we were getting into.
It’s all cool though, we enjoy seeing the variety of peoples projects no matter what style they may have going on.

We spotted 2 Buick Regals and a couple GM G-body’s.
Sweet! 3 car shows in a row with a few Buick Regals at each of them!
(you’d think that would always be the case in the Motor City, but actually it’s not)

.

Next up, finally, we’re headed out to our 4th (and last) event for the day, the downtown Mt. Clemens car show (Mount Clemens cruise).
Will we find more Turbo Buicks there?
Maybe, hopefully, but you’ll have to come back tomorrow to this website to find out!
