How to Remove the Quarter Windows

How to remove the quarter windows and clean the goop (the tar/sticky stuff from car body) off your turbo buick.

1. Remove seat belt bracket from top of sail panel, use either a T-45 or T-40 bit make sure it fits very tight and snug in the bolt, it should fit perfectly, that will tell you its the right size. Push towards the bolt so you are fully seated and don’t strip out the torx bolt.

2. Remove Top sail panel – there should be 2 or 3 screws you can get to by pushing the seat and getting a philips screw driver into the head of the screw. you should be able to pull the top of the panel away from the window, it might have some glue from the window keeping it nice and tight to the body, pull it away gently and slid it towards the front of the car, also push the top of the rear seat out of the way so you can get the panel to slid past the seat.

3. Remove the window nuts, they should be 10mm, and there are 5 on each window.

4. Lay/sit on the back seat and push the window out with your foot(wear your shoes), press evenly and gently, the glue will stretch and release, be gentle and push evenly and slowly, it will eventually break loose and then you can pull the window out from the outside of the car.
