Whenever you chance attending a car show this late in the season, especially with impending possible rain looming overhead, there’s a probability the event will turn out to be a dud.
But that’s mostly ok, because without the duds, you wouldn’t be able to identify the winners.
[we accepted the risk today, since yesterday’s Gratiot Cruise event actually did have rain earlier in the day & turned out to be a decent presentation]
This is one of the events we’ve been wanting to attend for a couple years now, after hearing about it from a local Buick friend, who stated there is a bunch of oddball GM cars that usually show up here (and isn’t that the kind of autos that you really want to see? Instead of the same usual type of transportation that is on display).
Today’s show, the 34th Annual Indian Summer Buick Pontiac Oldsmobile GMC Truck only Car Show, held on Sunday September 25th, 2022, brought in only about a dozen vehicles.
Not good, considering we drove around 75 miles and spent 2 hours (round trip, drive time including making 2 stops, this event and another car show that you’ll see in tomorrow’s post).
But since we’re gamblers, and this is the first time this year that has been a disappointment car show wise, we’re alright with that. We rolled the dice and crapped out, lol.
Come back tomorrow and see all the cars that showed up for the last Bakers event of the year!
