Troy Traffic Jam Car Show August 2024

This car show always falls on the same day as the Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise, so we normally don’t attend.

However, it has been on our list of auto events to go to for some time now, so we decided to make the effort this year and head there (as well as going to the Gratiot Cruise afterwards, for which those event pics were shown yesterday on this website).

This Sunday, August 4, 2024, gala brought out a few hundred vehicles for this paid entry show.
Lots of Mustangs and Pontiac GTO’s, plus high end vehicles and rare customs, if you’re into that sort of thing.
The 1988 Pontiac Banshee concept car was present, along with a (1 of 50 made) 1948 Tucker, the MonkeeMobile, and the (real) Silver Bullet (1967 Plymouth GTX).

With around 350 hot rods stuffed within these parking lots, you’d think there’d be at least 1 GM G-body car in attendance, but nope, not a single one!
Lots of GM A-bodies though, so that’s almost as good.

This was an interesting car show for us to attend, and we got to check it off our list, but most of the automobiles herein weren’t really our cup of tea (they’re cool, but just not what we’re really into), so it’s doubtful we’ll go again.
