The CCC system (Computer Command Control) was made for fuel economy benefits.
With this brand new technology (at the time), exhaust emissions were lowered while mileage was improved (to an average rating of 23.1 MPG!)
Sensors controlled the fuel injection and distributor to achieve these feats.
