Here’s another rare vintage item that most of you have probably never seen before.
Used in the Buick dealerships back in the day, for helping customers pick out the options they wanted on their new 1987 Buick Grand National (or other Turbo Regal).
This is a huge (like 22″ wide and a foot high) book.
It only has a few pages, but covers the info on seat colors & materials, wheel and wheelcover options, steering wheel choices, body side molding & exterior sport packages, music system options (radios and speaker packages), console options.
It shows most of the same features as the Buick dealer album, but this item is way more rare than the 1987 Buick marketing manual (which is hard to find)!
In the last 20 years, we’ve only seen 3 of these, (including 1 we had many many years ago), compared to the 12-15 (1987) dealer albums we’ve seen (and had 5 or 6 of them).
This rare book was originally listed as a 7 day ebay auction with a “make offer” option available (it started 2 days ago).
We checked back in (today) on this one and someone offered the seller $30 (+ $13 shipping), which was accepted!
What a great deal on this rare vintage item!
(really, we thought this would sell for $100+)
