Saturday’s car cruise (7-10-21) on Michigan Avenue (US12) in downtown Wayne, Michigan, was hopping!
TONS of hot rods showed up!
This event reminded us of how car events used to be pre-pandemic era!
Lots of cooped up energy that was expelled today.
8-10 Turbo Regals were in attendance, as well as a couple few dozen G-bodies of other varieties.
Cruisers roared down the highway free-flowing, up until around 8PM when just about every other vehicle out there decided it was time for the annual burnout competition!
I’ve never seen so many burnouts performed on a normal street!
(keep in mind there were many police cars en route, who let most of the rubber shedding slip by)
Even regular automobiles that shouldn’t be doing them, were doing them!
(the women in the older white Ford Explorer was a trip, letting ’em rip on every block! With a peg-leg no less! Good for her, she was definitely having a great time!)
The westsiders are definitely a more carefree bunch than the eastsiders are!
This has been the best event we’ve gone to this year so far.
There’s many more cruises & shows yet ahead, and here’s hoping they’re just as adventurous as this one was!
Almost 100 pics below for you to enjoy! 🙂
