That’s where the annual Berkley Auto Parade is held.
Several hundred cars strolled down in sequence, showing off the Berkley Mayor, Kate Nye, a silver medal (2020 Tokyo) Olympic winner, amongst the many other participants riding in various modes of transportation.
The parade started 15 minutes late, and the last car ended the event on time at 7:30.
The 45 minute jaunt was enjoyable, the crowd screamed and waved at the autos driving by who returned the waves (sometimes with puppets or stuffed animals doing the hand motions!).
(this event marks another new show we have attended for the first time!)
With it being still early on a Friday night, what’s one to do, especially being so close to where thousands & thousands of automobiles are cruising.
Yes, of course, venture out onto Woodward Avenue and check out all the goings on!
It’s packed out there!
The views are way different than what we saw here 1 year ago.
And I’m sure Saturday’s main attraction will be even more jam packed with muscle cars, antiques, and you name it! Along with the million spectators along the multi-mile course that runs from 8 Mile Road (Detroit) to Hall Road (M59 / 20 Mile Road, in Pontiac).
