Scattered all across the U.S. of A are Buick car dealerships.
Some still in existence today, many others are long gone.
Most Buick Grand Nationals came with affixed emblems (usually on the trunk) advertising the auto dealer where the Gbody Regal was originally sold from.
That’s part of the heritage of the specific Turbo Buick.
The impact of owning one of these Turbo Regals is so great, that should something happen to the car (like a total car wreck), that some owners peeled off these dealership emblems (and the rest of them as well) from the vehicle and kept them as remembrances of having had their special Buick Regal.
Like collecting diecast cars, some people collect dealer emblems and have them displayed in a showcase, or mount them on their walls or tool boxes.
Perhaps it’s a collection of only Buick emblems, maybe it’s any car dealerships from a certain state they live in.
Collections vary just like the actual collectors themselves.
A few owners want to add a special subtle custom touch onto their Buick Grand Nationals by adding the specific Buick car dealer emblems from which it came.
(which again, provides some heritage to the particular automobile)
