At some car events, you show up and get the experience of attending with your fellow car enthusiasts. Others often pass out trophies for the best cars in certain categories. They make a nice remembrance of your time spent there, and the effort put forward, and can make all your hard work that’s been done to your Turbo Regal worthwhile.
The Buick GS Nats (held in Bowling Green, KY, at the Beech Bend Raceway) has given out assorted car show awards (trophies) for various categories over the years. Sponsored by various organizations or vendors (like the “Veterans Choice” award from 2025, as shown below).
The Turbo Farm also had a special choice award they passed out at the yearly Kentucky Buick Regal gathering in 2025.
The Buick GS Nationals created decorative participation plaques that were available in the earlier years (late 1990s – early 2000s) that it was held. Owners stuck them to the dashboards in their cars, mounted them onto toolboxes, or set them with their other memorabilia they have collected.
Custom crafted plaques (non-car show items) have also been made, often bearing the Buick Grand National logo on them with other decorative features displayed prominently within. A wide array of sizes were produced, sometimes for displaying on the wall of your garage, office or mancave, other times small enough to attach to the console or dash board in your Turbo Buick.
