Buick Factory Divisions Work Shirts Uniforms Jackets

.

Back in the 1980s (and late 1970s) when these Buick Turbo Regals were newly created, the assorted departments and plants that were part of the Buick Motor Division had various clothing items that each section wore.

The parts and service department displayed an appropriate shirt with said name on them.

Then the Buick City assembly plant had long-length shirts (that looked like lab coats).

The factory torque converter plant uniforms had a patch on the front stating so, with a large Buick hawk on the back.

There were other plants that had work shirts with the Buick hawk on the back as well (a large patch sewn onto the reverse).

Executives were offered polo style shirts, with the Buick hawk image embroidered onto the left chest area.

ASC, where the Buick GNX was assembled, had white tee shirts with red trim that said Buick GNX by ASC McLaren on them.
(originals of these are super rare, as only employees received them, and there weren’t that many. But be aware, reproductions of these were created a few years back)

Team Buick City, which consisted of both Buick and Oldsmobile, had there own jackets, also displayed with the UAW logo, on the left chest on the front of the jacket.

All of these items can be seen below.
