Waaay back in the day, Buick used to supply some neat looking keys for their vehicles, as shown below.
Then, they came out with the standard (what us turbo regal guys are used to) GM logo stamped keys (some had a black padded cover, some didn’t). They were also stamped with a “C” or a “D” for a 1987 model. 2 keys were needed in the 1980s, one for the ignition (the square one), and the other key (the round one) to open the doors, trunk & glove box.
Nowadays, there’s computer chips etc. in the keyless remote entry transmitter clickers used to enter &/or start your car, and/or only one transponder key needed for the entire vehicle.
