Coolant Fan Delay Relay

PURPOSE OF RELAY:

turns on or keeps the coolant (radiator) fan running after the vehicle is shut off

TURNS ON-OFF / FUNCTIONS / USED WHEN:

after the vehicle is shut off, IF the temperature is over 226 degrees

LOCATION IN VEHICLE:

driver side fender, third relay (closest to the firewall) on panel

RELAY / BASE COLOR:

black

CONNECTOR PLUG COLOR (RELAY SIDE):

black

WIRES ATTACHED (RELAY SIDE):

n/a

CONNECTOR PLUG COLOR (HARNESS SIDE):

NUMBER OF WIRES ATTACHED (HARNESS SIDE):

7 (4 on 1 plug, 3 on the other plug)

COLOR & PURPOSE OF (HARNESS SIDE) WIRES:

c1:
3 wires:

red “C”, goes to fusible link “E”
(link connects to other things)

black-pink “B”, goes to high speed coolant fan relay “4”

“A”, goes to ? {not exactly sure here}
{maybe a dark green-yellow wire}
it “might” go to (junction) that connects with high speed fan relay, coolant fan temp switch, a/c high pressure switch

c2:
4 wires, but only 3 pins on black connector

pink-black “A”, goes to (junction) to ECM/SOL fuse
(junction connects with brake switch [above brake pedal])
(junction connects with other things)

[2 red wires on 1 terminal, on middle pin]
red “B” (1 of 2 wires), goes to (junction) orange wire goes to pwr brk fuse
red “B” (1 of 2 wires), goes to powermaster brake relay “C”

black-white “C”, goes to (junction) to ground
(junction connects with a/c high pressure switch “C”)
(junction connects with high pressure cut-out switch “B”)
(junction connects with coolant fan “C”)
(junction connects with other things)
