Cruisin’ 53 Car Show (Van Dyke Cruise) 6-1-25

.

The annual (as most people refer to it) M53 Van Dyke Cruise (which is mainly like a car show since most participants don’t really drive around like at other “cruises”), is called the “Cruisin’ 53 Car Show” (a more appropriate name), occurred on Sunday.

This year, car fanatics gathered at the Rinke Chevrolet car dealership (10 1/2 Mile) instead of at the corner of 10 & Van Dyke (as in past years).
Their parking lot (both front and side) had all kinds of cool modes of recreational transportation, but not a whole lot of cars in attendance, maybe 60 that we saw.
(and not a real shocker, car folks don’t congregate at this event like most other automotive shows or car cruises).

Another small gathering, over at Sandbaggers, had about 2 dozen assorted hot rods hanging out.

No Turbo Buick Regals for us to view today, just a couple other GM G-bodied rides, and some older Buicks. There were 2 cool customs next to the sound stage (see the teal and red cars).
(we weren’t surprised, we only go to this one because it’s close to our home base)
