We decided we wanted to jazz up the exhaust a bit.
Nothing extreme, just a set of good looking exhaust tips.
Chrome just wouldn’t be right, as why would you put chrome stuff on a car that was purposely blacked out from the factory?
So more black parts on an all black car.
Keeping with the murdered out look.
This 1987 Buick Grand National already has an ATR pitbull exhaust installed, with 2.5″ outlets.
Tips come in a bunch of sizes (inlets, outlets, lengths), and we were initially looking for the new outlet to be 3.5″ and no longer than 9″ (as that’s where the existing hanger is and the spot we’re going to weld it on at).
Unfortunately for all the combo we wanted, the only choice available was a 4″ outlet.
It’s big! How big? A business card fits in the outlet!
Crafted from stainless steel and powdercoated black.
2.5″ inlet (fits over the size of the existing 2.5″ exhaust on the car).
4″ outlet (for that visually tough looking style).
9″ long (which is the perfect length to let it stick out some & have it welded onto the existing exhaust right before the hanging tab).
Cost about $30 shipped, off an ebay seller.
A bit ricer? Maybe. We like it though, and that’s all that matters!
