This is the first car show we’ve attended in 2025.
We’re a little late in getting started (as there has been quite a few held already), but this one was a great show to kick off our 2025 automotive adventures!
2024 was the end of the Funtime Cruzers Car Shows at Lakeside Mall (Michigan).
The mall was officially closed near the end of summer (except for a couple big stores), leaving the Funtime Cruzers having to search for a new Monday gathering place.
This year, they found a large parking lot (in front, back, and side) of the NAPA Auto Parts store (which is in a strip mall).

Automobile overflow is also filling the lots across the side street into neighboring businesses.
We hit up this event (May 12th), which we believe was the first show that they held at this new location.
And many others did as well… over 300 of them, in fact!
When we left (somewhere near 7PM), there were still cool cars entering this spot.
We saw 3 Buick Regals (including a GN), several older Buick models (all WAY cool!), plus some other G & A bodies.
It looks like all of “the old gang” that use to participate at the former place has happily transferred over to this new location.
(along with several other new show vehicles and spectators as well)
We can see that this car meet is going to become really huge this year if today is any indication of what’s to come.
(it definitely helps that the Packard Proving Grounds is down the street, not to mention Van Dyke is a heavily travelled road anyways)
A pretty cool event to attend if you’re in the neighborhood (and even if you’re not).
