G-Body Classic CGBG Ohio 7-25-26 (Buicks)

This annual event (9 in the books so far) never ceases to be an amazing show, with 300+ G-body’s participating, spread out in the parking lot and inside the building.

With several vendors in attendance, hundreds of like-minded automotive enthusiasts, tons of GM’s best automobiles, and prize giveaways, what more could you really ask for?

The Classic G-Body Garage crew always does a tremendous job of putting on this monumental task to make sure the shows run smoothly, the attendees have a great time, and for all of the other details that come along with putting on a big event such as this.
THANKS to Brian Sutter & Frank Hooks, the assorted vendors, and all of the other people who make this a truly pleasant event to attend!

We believe when in Rome, so to speak, you should partake in the particulars that are at these events (so that the events can continue to be ongoing!).
In this case, the prize raffles, the car giveaway, the food, etc.
As such, we always buy tickets for these items, that are graciously donated to the event by various sponsors (and we as car people, do appreciate all their efforts to the community!).
We never really expect to win anything, although that would be a nice topper to attending the auto gathering.

This is the 5th year in a row we have attended the G-Body Classic (but we’ve been here 6 times).
Years 1 & 2, we won a prize, then 3 & 4, nothing.
This year however, we won not just 1, or 2, but 3 parts raffle prizes!
How cool is that?
Helps pay for the entire trip down there (after we sell some of those items, which helps us continue to provide our readers with coverage of these assorted auto events we attend).
[ in tomorrow’s post, you’ll see what we won! ]

Today’s post covers all of the various Buick Regal models that were at this show.
(and what a turnout for the Buick crowd this year, we saw lots of way cool Regals!)

It’s so neat to check out all the different years (1978-1987), the various models (Grand National, Turbo T, T-type, Limited, base Regals, race cars, etc.), and the specific details and mods that were done to each of the assorted Buick Regals that came to this event.
From totally stock to highly modified, this event provides spectators something to see, everything from mild to wild!

Next year will be the 10th anniversary of this show, and should be something really spectacular (well, even more spectacular than it is already!) – and we hope even more G-bodies are able to participate!
(Meaning, mark this one down on your calendar if it isn’t yet!)
