We generally don’t “root” for 1 particular racer, but as we strolled thru the pits, I noticed 1 race car that caught my eye.
I have an affinity for the two-tone WH1 Regal, and I briefly spoke with the owner, Brandon Hickman, who runs in the TPB and TSM race classes.
Brandon came in runner up in TSM, but took first in TPB.
We watched him successfully move thru the entire field into taking home the trophy.
Good job Brandon!

Notable highlights (spoken from Brian Lorenz):
“Old Yeller” Turbo Hot Street entry was the #1 qualifier resetting the class record Saturday once again with a 9.05@148.76!!
The car ran a 9.12, 9.11, 9.10, 9.07 and a 9.05 this weekend!
The final round of THS eliminations was an absolute down to the wire finish!!
We were paired up with Jason White from Mississippi of 469 Performance for the finals with his “CRUSTY GN”.
Old Yeller took the win with a 9.10@147.98 to Jason’s 9.17@147.78!!
The margin of victory was .0149!!

It’s been a few years since we’ve been down to Bowling Green for the GS Nats (or went to any track, for that matter), so we thoroughly enjoyed hitting up this race track.
It’s already on our “must attend” list for next year!
