Continuing on with more on the track photos from the Buicks at Dragway 42 racing event in Ohio.
We arrived at Darana Dragway 42 a little after 1PM (on Saturday), after a long 4-hour trip down there (from Detroit, MI).
Sooo much construction (and off-freeway detours) from here to there, which should have only taken slightly more than 3 hours regularly.
A worthwhile experience overall attending though, that put on 375 miles to our daily driver.
Good thing the time between races didn’t occur quickly (which we found a bit odd as normally it’s one class right after the other, in fast succession, as the regular routine at tracks. This being a special event obviously made things a bit different).
Only 1 minor incident on the track, when Travis’ gray Turbo T (a beautiful car with a vinyl roof!) slid around the track.
(which was one of the runs that we just happen to be shooting for the full length of the race)
Things started normally, then you see smoke, then the car starts spinning out of control.
(we didn’t find out what actually caused this issue)
He was ok, and they said he briefly kissed the wall (we saw the car afterwards in the pits, didn’t really look like any damage, maybe he just hit the rear bumper slightly).

There was also one car that blew a trans line, causing some smoke to exit the Gbody Regal.
All in all, a good day for racing, nice weather, cool fast cars, great racing action!
