It’s getting down to the end of the car show season for 2024.
Well, it already IS pretty much the end.
Most (if not all) of the smaller parking lot events have ended already.
This one, from Thursday, October 17, 2024, was held at the VFW Post 1136 (Ford Ave) in Wyandotte, MI.
We saw a notice for it posted up online (as being the last one for this year for this venue), and since as it was on our list for new-to-us shows to try and attend, we did.
The weather was a bit nippy, but the sun was out making it not too bad.
We were slightly disappointed with the turnout (especially with all the online promotion for it), but considering it IS late in the season, we get it.
We heard the (small-ish) lot does get filled up during the summer months.
Participation today was still decent (factoring in the above) with about 3 dozen cars showing up.
1 Gbody in attendance, and some GM Abody’s too.
We did see some other cool cars though (check out the 1-piece all fiberglass body on the white Thunderbird!).
.
The very last big event for 2024 will be at the Packard Proving Grounds this Sunday.
Hope to see a huge turnout!
This might be the final call for getting your hot rods out there in 2024!
