This new car show (started early in 2025) held at Double Shots / Lee’s Chicken parking lot (which was The Lucky Leprechaun, and Dooley’s at one point, previously Wild Woody’s – at 32546 Gratiot, Roseville), was started by the Twisted Axle Car Club, who is proclaiming they want to Make Gratiot Great Again!
(If you’re old enough, do you remember cruising Gratiot Avenue in the 1970s/80/90s?)
It’s a venue that’s been on our schedule to attend this year, and we finally made it out there!
(we were at the SCS VFW car show earlier today, and then headed over here)
We got to park next to another Turbo Buick! (a sweet WH1 T-type).
We spotted a cool white Monte Carlo SS (a 6-speed manual trans car at that!), a couple older Buicks, and some other neat automobiles.
Even though neither of these auto events were huge, it was a pleasant Friday for us (attending both of today’s gatherings), along with a quick cruise down Jefferson Avenue by the water in between hitting up these shows.
(it helps when multiple spots are located not far from each other!)
