Reading Spark Plugs Picture Chart

We found this neat photo of a bunch of different spark plugs, and their condition, from oil foiled plugs to very hot and lean burnt.

If you’re looking to tune your Gbody Regal to its utmost potential, the ability to read what your spark plugs are doing is a must.

The best running spark plugs are usually coffee colored, with an even stream of color, no speckles or spots of any kind, nothing that looks burnt, black or oily.
A pic of that condition (“BEST”) is in the middle of the green bar section.
And obviously anything in the red bars is bad.

Correcting any non-perfect spark plug issues is usually as easy as changing the plugs themselves.
Try a hotter or cooler plug, change the gap setting, or even brand of spark plugs you are using.
