(our 1st auto event of 4 for today!)
Southgate’s Heritage Festival was held over the weekend, with the car show on Saturday at the Downriver Credit Union (15261 Trenton Rd.).
Already knowing that there are over 20 different car shows happening today (!!!), we really didn’t expect any of them to have a very large gathering.
And for the most part, we would be correct.
Here at this first place, we spotted 2 Buick Grand Nationals amongst the 30-40 vehicles in attendance.
Wayne’s beautiful 1987 GN (named “Carbon Fever” because of all the carbon fiber pieces on his ride, not to mention he’s another fan of the color blue like we are, having numerous pieces in that shade), plus another gentleman parked right next to him, who is the original owner of his ’87 (the car with the cool custom sign on the ground), an all original stock vehicle.
Some GM A-bodies were in the lot, along with a few newer Dodge Challengers.

Come back here to this website in a couple hours to see the next event we attend!
