Before the current day advent of tee shirt creation via DTG printing or silk screening, there was iron-on transfers.
This vintage method was popular in the late 1970s and into the early 1980s.
The images looked pretty good at the time transferred onto a t-shirt, but unfortunately the more you washed these clothes, the more the images got faded.
The process was pretty simple to get your own custom tee shirt, you heat up the iron, place the iron on transfer onto the shirt where you wanted it to be located at, cover it with another piece of cloth, and run the iron over the top of it for a few minutes. The heat warmed up the image which ended up being transferred onto the t-shirt.
Just like magic!
Here’s a few designs that had Buick themes on them.
