Way back before Facebook existed, and in the infancy of what we now know as the internet, “seeing” Buick racing events from far away places wasn’t possible other than obtaining a video from the show.
Many weeks or months would go by as well, before you got to watch the action from the event. Nothing was “live” like we are able to enjoy in today’s day and age!
Of course, the “video” was pretty much only available in one format, VHS.
VHS (speaking from today’s perspective) wasn’t the best way to view something most of the time, but it worked well since it was the only choice obtainable at that time.
The GS Nats from 1996 thru 1998 had a company that created such VHS tapes.
