One of the cool things that the Boy Scouts of America does is have their annual pinewood derby races.
Kids make their own race cars crafted from wood blocks and special components that produce a complete vehicle able to run down the tracks.
When you grow up in a household where someone owns a Turbo Buick Regal, well, it’s pretty obvious what type of vehicle the Scout will try to replicate.
That’s exactly what a few sons did, and you can see them below.
The activity is suppose to be done by the children, but often the parents will assist in the creation of these pinewood derby cars.
It’s not easy to shape out a specific body made out of wood, so the cars really never look exact to the real-life counterparts, but the resemblance is definitely there.
US Turbo Regal fanatics can tell what we are looking at though!
Good fun!
