Buick City, AKA Flint, Michigan, home of the creation of the Buick Grand National (and all other associated Turbo Regals).
At one point in time, there were lots of buildings in Buick City.
And lots of different divisions and plants involved in the process of creating our Turbo Buicks.
There were also numerous assorted items produced over the years about Buick City, memorabilia of all kinds, including these cool looking Buick City Car Plant Windbreakers, jackets, coats.
They were blue in color, and featured Buick, Oldsmobile, UAW logos.
The outer shell material is made from polyester.
Then there are some GM Powertrain bomber type jackets, showing UAW Local 599 and the Powertrain Flint North monikers. These were black in color.
Finally, there were a multitude of Buick City shirts created, in a few different colors like blue, purple, etc.
Buick employees kept a lot of these in their own wardrobes, to wear, and as a memento of their time spent in Buick City.
Some of these are available for $30-80 from various Ebay sellers, if you’d like to have them hanging in your own closet.
