The ERTL toy company made some neat stock car race car NASCAR type toys back in the late 1980s & early 1990s.
The pullback cars were 1:43 scale stock cars with vintage ’80s race car themes on them were sold in box packaging.
The power pull cars were 1:64 in scale, and was a carded package type.
Both featured drivers like Darrell Waltrip, Harry Gant, Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, Dale Earnhardt, etc.
These plastic and diecast toy cars were in Ertl’s “pullback” style and “pow-r-pull” series.
The pull-backs were exactly that, pull the vehicle back & let it roll forward.
The power-pull versions had a rip cord you inserted thru the car, pulled it, set the automobile down, and it took off down the road!
