Made by Johnny Lightning, from their ThunderJets series, these 1:64 scale Buick Grand National toy cars were made in a pull-back style vehicle. In other words, for them to move, you ‘pulled them back’ then let go & they went forward!
The snap on bodies would also fit your favorite slot car chassis if you were into that kind of thing!
They came in lime green, blue, chrome red, chrome silver, chrome gold, two tone maroon & black, two tone gray & black, and of course, there was a black one as well! Johnny Lightning also made 3 limited edition “white lightning” versions; on the two tone maroon & black, two tone gray & black, and blue versions, which had white tires/rims.
