Buick dealerships were plentiful in the 80s, and most sold multiple car lines from GM (Cadillac, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, GMC, Saturn).
Some car dealerships even sold brands other than the Generals!
.
What they all had in common, was the fact that they produced license plates for the front of the cars they sold.
Lots of free exposure & advertising for them via this method.
.
Most of these special buick dealership license plates are hard to track down now, since they really weren’t meant for saving & collecting when they were originally issued.
They do pop on ebay for sale every now & then, but usually are in driver condition.
.
Most of these Buick dealerships are now long gone out of business.
Enjoy this flashback to 30 years ago!
