This yearly event is always a good time with the tens of thousands of cars that come out to celebrate.
Cruise down the historic Woodward Avenue, or pick any corner, set your chairs down, and watch the hot rods roll by. Or do both!
During the multiple hours that we were here we spotted numerous GM G-body vehicles, including several Turbo Buicks (although most were parked along the route).
The “Grand Camino” (an El Camino with a Grand National front end) was out and about (pic below) again, as it’s been here for a few days this week.

We had intentions of going to the Buicks on the Bricks event today, but the weather was questionable, plus we didn’t want to take a chance of driving over an hour (each way) only to be disappointed, especially since we heard that there were only 2 pace cars (1975) in attendance (and that’s specifically why we were going). Oh well, maybe next year.
The weather did hold out for the most part of the day, even with all the clouds looming in the sky.
