We recently saw a 1987 Buick Grand National for sale, posted on Facebook.
No big deal, there’s plenty of them for sale out there.
But sometimes we see unusual Gbody Regals being offered.
This is 1 of them.
Within the (short) description, the seller mentions “Pretty clean was a police car at some point has lights and siren.”
And other than stating it has just under 70,000 miles, no other details were given.
What?!
Cop car!?
How cool!
You can see the (presumably the flashers) electronic box and wiring in the trunk, some kind of mounting plate on the dash, and red and blue lights in the grille.
(we’ve seen other Buick Regal cop cars with the same grille lights like this)
[ you’d think the police would have removed all the flashing lights before getting rid of the vehicle, but apparently that’s not how they did things back in the day, today’s society usually does disconnect such items ]
There’s a “Toth” dealer emblem on the trunk lid, whereas Toth Buick is a car dealership in Akron, Ohio.
Meaning the car was probably used as a police car in Ohio at some point.
The photos reveal some show and go items on the exterior, under the hood and inside the interior.
Wheels, aftermarket turbo cover, chrome goodies, etc., which were most likely added on after it’s life as a cop car.
Currently located in Ohio, this could be in your driveway for the sellers asking price of $37,500.
