We recently saw this car and it didn’t look familiar.
Usually we remember seeing all of the scale toys that were made at one point or another.
But here, we weren’t sure if we actually made a post about it or not.
That sometimes happens!
So we searched this site.
We try to keep up with almost all of the various Buick Grand National diecasts that come out, but occassionally, we miss one.
Like this one.
(and besides, 2007 was when we launched this site, so we weren’t really covering every single diecast as a separate post back then. Not like we do now.)
We did previously show another Buick Grand National from this series, called “Modern Classics” and it was in the exact same packaging, including the “#8 of 15” labelling.
That car was chrome, with red stripes on the sides.

We had no idea there was another version produced for this set (until recently)!
THIS car is dark blue, with black and gray stripes.
Although most photos shown of it look like the car is purple.
This particular vehicle has a chrome engine, as well as the interior!
That’s surely different on a HW car.
We saw these being offered for anywhere between $30-80.
They’re cool… but not that cool in our opinion (yours may differ)…
(we had the original chrome/red one years back and sold it for something like $10-15, and like everything else, worth more nowadays!)
