This might be interesting for diecast car collectors.
The process of creating 1:64 scale diecast cars is a step by step process.
Multiple initial designs, multiple prototypes, multiple final stages, production.
We saw images of the (conceptionalized) Buick Grand National, Series 3 diecast.
There was suppose to be 8 total cars in this series (which was carried thru to the end).
There was to be different collections produced:
1) a “Hobby Alternate Mix Assortment” – with a black Buick Grand National.

2) Then, the Walgreens stores, were to receive the exact same cars in the set, however, with slightly different paint schemes on each of them.

You’ll notice in the #2 pic, that on the Buick GN, the car was suppose to be blue!
That didn’t happen, it ended up being white in the final release!
(all the other diecasts had different final colors as well)

This shows you that there’s many changes that happen during the manufacturing process (even after supposed “final versions” are announced).
The #2 pic WAS what Car Tuned released to the public, and was suppose to be the final version of these cars.
But, the actual diecast versions produced and put out into the market had changed after that photo was released.
