Mostly in Southgate, MI, (at/near the Krogers), but also running thru Lincoln Park, is the annual Cruisin Downriver / Fort Street Cruise that’s going on today.
An excellent event as usual, bringing out thousands of cool cars.
We spotted numerous Buick Grand Nationals and Turbo Buicks (close to 2 dozen), and plenty other assorted GM G-body vehicles.
It was nice chatting with fellow Turbo Regal owners that we’ve never spoken with before (we recognize some of their cars but never had a chance to talk previously).
The Police were out in force (more than in past years), and at one point, we saw 9 cop cars parked in the median showing their strength (both Southgate and Wayne County Sheriff units).
They weren’t really pulling a bunch of cars over from what we saw, but then again car folk weren’t really getting too crazy either (at least while we were there, from about 4-8PM).
Earlier in the day wasn’t scorching outside (or raining) like it has been for the last week or so, so today was a good fun day! Of course, the later in the day it got, the hotter it seemed to get.
